Hooks of Steel

Sine Waves: The highs and lows of Life on the Line Hits: 211

I' ve climbed upon

My hooks of steel

and prayed  when I

have stopped to kneel.

Dear God, let my

work be good

as I climb upon

this pole of wood.

Steel towers

tall and strong

bringing power

to the throngs.

Through the storms

we chase the night,

giving families

power and light.

Electricity run with

Lineman's might.

Gone is another cold

Dark night.

Dedicated to the Linemen, the crews, the men & women who work

tirelessly to keep the lights on. I honour them with this poem!
